I’m sitting on my couch at HOME in North Carolina, having just finished work for the day. A few days ago we arrived after traveling for 10 days or so.
We spent 5 days on Long Island, visiting three churches that we have a relationship with. Entering these churches, we felt right at HOME with them. They listened to us attentively, asked good questions and fed us really well!. So many people found ways to care for us in unique ways. We are inspired to keep working hard and being sacrificial in our love as they were to us.
While there, we drove by my childhood HOME which has changed quite a bit. With one of my neighbors passing away this past year and our other good friends choosing to move to different states, it didn’t feel like my HOME anymore!
From Long Island, we traveled back to Pennsylvania, staying at my sister’s HOME and visiting with her family as well as Anne’s mother. We are there several times a year and sleeping in the apartment of my sister’s attic, it feels like as second HOME for us.
Thank you for investing in our lives once again as we care for those working in Bible Translation across the world, some far from Home, some near. I leave you with a few photos of our time there!
